What we process

Your email address, your job-search criteria (keyword, location, preferences), saved jobs, your job feedback, and usage events on this site (e.g., jobs viewed and clicked). An advertising click ID (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, or msclkid) may already be present in the URL that opens Today. Today can keep it in that URL during the current visit and pass it to the JobsBear click redirect when you click a job. We store it for later visits only after you consent. We use this data to show you matching jobs, run your email alerts, and measure the results of our job advertising.

Legal bases

Performance of the alerts service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for email, storing advertising click IDs, and full advertising measurement. We use limited cookieless consent-mode signals and forward a click ID already present in the current URL on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in measuring advertising effectiveness in aggregate and preventing abuse. Without consent, Today does not store that click ID for later visits. You can object to this processing and withdraw consent at any time through the relevant settings or the unsubscribe link in every email.

Recipients & processors

We use Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising for advertising measurement. Each provider receives consent-mode and measurement signals according to your choice. With your advertising-measurement consent, we also send Google a normalized, SHA-256-hashed version of your email address with job Apply conversions so it can match them to ad interactions. The hash is not anonymous; Google can match it to its account data. We do not send your raw email in these tags or store the hash in browser cookies or local storage. Read the privacy notices from Google and Microsoft. Google Cloud provides hosting and AWS SES delivers email. If you buy a Job Scout pass, Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record and processes your contact, billing, and payment data. Today receives the payment ID, status, amount, and entitlement dates, but not your full card details. Read the Dodo Payments privacy notice. For a live source check that you request, we send the job title, employer, location, and listing URL to Tavily Search and the resulting public sources to Google Gemini for a bounded assessment. Your email address and payment details are not part of that request. The job provider you choose receives data when you open its site. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use an applicable adequacy decision or EU Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards, depending on the recipient. Retention

We remember your advertising-measurement choice for 180 days, store advertising click IDs for 90 days after consent, and keep your Today session for up to 30 days. We keep profile and search data while your job alerts are active. After unsubscribe or a deletion request, we retain only what is needed to honor your opt-out, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Usage events are deleted or anonymized when they are no longer needed for security, product measurement, and the integrity of active experiments.

Managing advertising measurement

Storage for Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising is denied by default. Without permission, consent mode can send the providers limited measurement signals without advertising cookies; Google's tags do not receive an advertising click ID in that state. A click ID already present in your landing URL can remain in the URL during that visit and be passed to the JobsBear click redirect, but Today does not store it for later visits. You can accept, decline, or change your choice at any time through “Ad measurement settings” in the footer. When you withdraw consent, Today deletes its stored advertising click IDs.
